Have
you ever had someone come up and
ask how you were feeling - when
you were feeling just fine? Wearing
the wrong colors can make you look
a little under the weather even
when you feel perfectly well. But,
wearing the right colors can even
help you look great even when you
don't really feel your best.

Color
is one of the first things you notice when you
look at a person. The right color can brighten
your face, even your skin tone, brighten your
eyes and enhance the color of your hair. The wrong
color can do just the opposite; dull the skin,
show up blotchy skin, enhance dark circles under
the eyes and make hair looks lifeless. So, how
do you know if a color is right for you? Try these
tips when picking out an outfit.
" Look at your overall appearance - do you
look healthy or sick?
" Look at your skin tone - does it look even
and glowing or blotchy and dull?
" Look at your eyes - do they look bright
and clear or are they dull? Are there circles
under your eyes?
" Look at your hair - is it bright and alive
or dull and lifeless?
One
last thought. You do not need to have a closet
full of different colored clothes. Get to know
what colors work well for you and pick a few that
can be mixed and matched. In my closet I have
mostly black, red and white. This allows me to
mix and match a lot of different outfits. As a
result I wear a garment more and the cost per
wearing goes down. Start with what colors you
gravitate toward.

When
it comes to styling hair for a party women have
lots of options, and they don't have to be complicated!
Whether your hair is long or short, soft and elegant,
or super sleek, adding volume will allow you to
create a style that can take you from a day at
work to an evening out.
Try this:
For short hair: Roll in some small to medium
sized Velcro rollers and spray with a light hold
hair spray. Heat each roller with a blow dryer
for approximately 10 seconds, let them cool for
five minutes, and then gently pull out the rollers.
Use your fingers to fluff and tousle your hair
into place, then respray your style with a firmer
holding hairspray to make sure it is set for the
evening.
For long hair: Larger Velcro rollers work
better with longer hair, and when leaving the
hair down they will leave you with a soft body
wave. If a tighter more defined curl is desired
then you may want to use a small to medium sized
curling iron to achieve a smaller curled look,
but still use your fingers to soften and separate
the curls. Formal styles can still be loose and
fun. Don't worry about making your hair look perfect.
Remember, is there is no wrong way to style an
up-do. Be creative and have fun!

The
holidays, that time of year famous for festivities,
friendly gatherings, and raised spirits, are the
perfect time to try out new things such as a different
color on your lips or a new look on your eyes. I
recommend keeping holiday makeup simple. The whole
idea is balance. Your face has basically three areas
to emphasize: eyes, lips, and cheeks. You never
want all three areas to be accented at once. In
general, when you wear a strong lip color, it's
best to keep the rest of the face soft. Strong mouth,
soft eye. Strong eye, soft mouth. You get the picture
... have fun and don't be afraid to experiment with
new colors!
